"5D4N SEORAKSAN-DAEDUNSAN-NAEJANGSAN TOUR during autumn in Korea is a must !!!"
During this autumn, we have wanted to explore Korea and visit all the beautiful attractions with colorful foliage. Rorne, the Tour Director of World Heritage Network, recommended us to explore 3 main attractions which are the most popular in Korea: Seoraksan National Park, Daedunsan Provincial Park and Naejangsan National Park in a 5D4N tour that provides us an english speaking tour guide, cozy budget hotel accommodation and comfortable private transportation to pick us up from Seoul.
One our first trip, we went to Seoraksan National Park and we had the most wonderful trek at the famous "AVATAR" valley called Cheonbuldong Valley and after hours of trekking, we saw beautiful and colorful foliage lining along a walkway. It was like an enchanted garden in a fantasy world. Quite like the scenes you see in the movie "AVATAR" with blue as the background and many other autumn colors of the leaves blending together at the side. It was a fantastic scenery out of the world.
Then the next trip was to Daedunsan Provincial Park. This park was a bit of a challenge as it involves walking along a suspended bridge called Geumgang Gureum Bridge hanging precariously between two mountains and the see through holes at the bridge's metal floor was scary as the bridge is suspended very high in between these mountains. After walking through this scary bridge we thought our horror was over until we reached the Samseon Stairway which is 50m long with 127 steps up to the top of the mountain. The bridge is quite narrow and can only fit one person in a space. Climbing up this bridge is a challenge. You feel like you are walking in the sky as you ascend to the top. Our legs were shaky halfway to the top. It was an incredible adventure not to mention the fantastic view from the top looking over all the beautiful and colorful foliage of Daedunsan mountains.
Then come our last attraction which is the finale of the trip and the most interesting of all, the Naejangsan National Park. Walking along a 2KM road surrounded by beautiful autumn leaves was so surreal. It is the most beautiful site I have ever seen and according to our guide, Naejangsan National Park is the most colorful national park during autumn season in Korea. We took the cable car up to the top of the mountain and then trekked down to explore Naejangsa Temple. It was a very beautiful site. The colorful foliage that surround this temple is remarkable and mesmerising.
On the way back to hotel after the tour, we felt a sense of nostalgia and start to miss all these beautiful sites that we finally had the opportunity to explore in our lives. I believe it was our best autumn tour that we ever had in any country and what more can you ask for when you have the chance to visit 3 major tourist attractions at one go and they are also Korea's most popular autumn attractions not just locally but internationally. I like to thank Rorne Tan, the Director of Tour of World Heritage Network for arranging such an amazing autumn tour for us in Korea. It was a fantasy tour with beautiful memories where we will not forget for the rest of our lives. Many thanks again!

Beautiful National Park, Colorful Foliage
This is a beautifully kept national park with many hiking trails and some of the most awesome scenery. The autumn colors are supposed to be breathtaking. Thanks to World Heritage Network and our guide, Jun, we got there about just the right time. The leaves were changing with beautiful colors. There are so many things to see and do in the park... the Rocking Rock, Unification Buddha, a cave, natural springs, waterfalls. There are a variety of hiking trails ranging from about 3 km to multi-day hikes that includes the famous "AVATAR" Cheonbuldong Valley. We also saw people paragliding and rock-climbing in the park. There is also a cable car for people who want to see the amazing views, but can't make the hikes. There are quite a few small snack shops set up along the main day hikes serving bibimbap, kim-bap, ice cream, and other Korean snack type foods and of course alcohol. We enjoy our trip with our guide, Jun. She was funny and friendly. The network uses the best driver to pick us up from our hotel in Seoul and send us back after the tour. We would do it again with World Heritage Network & Jun . They are professional at their trade. A great thank you for a lovely tour.

'"What a beautiful mountain !!!"
We spent two and a half days under a tour arranged by World Heritage Network. We could have spent much longer. We were there just after Chuseok so was very busy. Unfortunately we were a little bit early for the autumn colours but there were a few patches about. On the first day our guide, Jun took us to Ulsanbawiri Rock via Heundeulbawri (balancing rock) and Gyejoan Temple. There are many steps and ladders near the top but it was worth the climb. We also visited the beautiful Biryeong Falls. Next day we did a more challenging walk to Madeungnyeong Pass and return, via Biseondae Rock and Geumganggul Buddhist Cave. Again, many steps and some ladders to the cave. This took the whole day but is worth it for those who like a challenging walk. On our last day Jun took us up the cable car for a great view of all the places we had walked and it was amazing. As other reviews have said, there are some places to eat and there are toilets along the main tracks but not once you go on tracks such as the Madeungnyeong Pass. There were a couple of springs for water though. Also, after accessing the park it is not easy to go there by yourself either by taxi or bus and we were glad to have engaged World Heritage Network for their services who provided us their most professional friendly guide, Jun, for us. Thanks a lot guys!

"My best hiking experience ever at Seoraksan!"
I looked at my budget and decided that I would spend three days in Sokcho and the Seoraksan National Park rather than Jeju Island. I'm not sure how great Jeju is having not been there, but I can safely say my three day visit to Sokcho and the nearby National Park was well worth a short visit. I joined a tour organised by World Heritage Network and enjoyed the trekking tour very much particularly the trekking to waterfalls and the rock formation at Seoraksan National Park. The highlight of the visit was Ulsan Bawi Rock. My guide, Jun, pick me up on a good day to visit as by 9am the sky was clear, blue, and it was around 20 celcius. For those who are ambitious (as I was), start with the "heavy lifting" in the morning. I was very tired at the end of the day, but after advised by Jun, I packed plenty of water, fruit, chocolate bars, and wearing appropriate footwear and clothes (layers etc) and bringing along a small towel, I found the day very manageable and enjoyable. The National Park is stunningly beautiful and is well worth a visit for those that enjoy hiking and the outdoors. Much thanks to Jun for his incredible patience and guide and also to World Heritage Network for arranging a superb and adventurous tour for me when I was there. Bravo!
